A trip to Peru is on many people’s bucket lists, and for good reason. From the deserts meeting the Pacific Ocean to the tropical Amazon basin rainforest and the “Lost City of the Incas”, Machu Picchu, not to mention the mysterious Nazca Lines in the south of this beautiful country of dramatic contrasts and quiet beauty, there is so much to see.

Earlier this month, the Embassy of Peru in Greece officially launched a promotional campaign called ‘Discover Peru in the Athens Metro’ in collaboration with STASY S.A. (Athens Urban Rail Transport).

Athenians and visitors to the city will be able to enjoy a virtual journey through Peru via attractive promotional images displayed in ten busy metro stations, as well as video spots shown on screens at key stations.

“We want people to experience the combination of extraordinary nature, living culture and genuine hospitality through these images,” said the Ambassador, Arturo Arciniega, during the inauguration event.

“Peruvians are known for their natural warmth and hospitality. Visitors quickly feel at home. Our food has gained worldwide fame, but there is much more to it than restaurants — it is about family, stories, and sharing.”
