Ben-Gvir further disclosed that he had repeatedly expressed the same position directly to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben-Gvir, has ignited controversy after declaring that "all of Lebanon must burn" in a strongly worded statement advocating a more aggressive response to threats against Israel.

Ben-Gvir made the remarks in a post on X on Friday, June 19, 2026, where he argued that Israel should abandon what he described as restrained responses and instead unleash overwhelming force against its adversaries.

Opening his message with a stark warning, the minister wrote: "For every tear of an Israeli mother, a thousand Lebanese mothers must weep. All of Lebanon must burn!"

He continued by stressing that Israel's security interests should outweigh international considerations.
