Bengaluru: Karnataka has approved industrial project proposals worth Rs 7,506 crore, with investments spanning aerospace, electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM) and general engineering sectors, industries minister MB Patil said.The State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC), at its meeting held here on Friday, approved 55 industrial projects, including key investments by Kaynes Technology, SFO Technologies and Bellatrix Aerospace, according to a statement from the industries department.Among the major projects approved are Kaynes Technology’s Rs 495 crore investment in Chamarajanagar district, SFO Technologies’ Rs 490 crore project in Doddaballapura and Bellatrix Aerospace’s Rs 404 crore investment in Bengaluru Rural district.Four projects involve foreign direct investments. Manufacturing companies including Taiwan-based Teaming Automation, South Korea’s YJ Link, Germany’s Revum and Japan-based Shinko will together invest nearly Rs 314 crore, the statement said.Of the 55 projects, 41 will be located outside Bengaluru Urban and Bengaluru Rural districts as part of the state government’s ‘Beyond Bengaluru’ initiative, Patil said.Most of the approved projects are in the aerospace, ESDM and general engineering sectors. Of the approved proposals, 35 projects involve investments of more than Rs 50 crore each, while another 15 projects will attract investments ranging between Rs 15 crore and Rs 50 crore. In addition, five companies will undertake expansion projects involving a further investment of nearly Rs 224 crore.Other notable investments include Orbit Industrial Park with Rs 454 crore in Kolar, Terra Circuits with Rs 441 crore in Vijayapura, JSW Port Logistics with Rs 380 crore in Ballari, Shahi Exports with Rs 337 crore in Kalaburagi, Infragalaxy with Rs 300 crore in Dakshina Kannada and Hi-Tech Metallics with Rs 250 crore in Vijayapura.Industrial gas supplied Bengaluru-based Praxair India will invest Rs 210 crore in Hoskote in Bengaluru Rural, while realty firms like Sobha Realty and RMZ have proposed investments of around Rs 201 crore and Rs 199 crore respectively in Bengaluru region projects, minister said.The approved projects are expected to create more than 28,000 jobs, according to the statement.Industries department principal Secretary S Selvakumar, commissioner Khushboo Goel, KIADB CEO Govinda Reddy, industries department’s investment promotion agency Udyoga Mitra MD Dodda Basavaraju and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
