Thirty-seven residents abducted by terrorists from Ariko Community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State have denied reports claiming that the government paid N1 billion and handed over 30 Honda motorcycles to secure their release, insisting that they remain in captivity after spending over 70 days in the bush.

The victims made the revelation in a video seen by SaharaReporters, in which both the terrorists and the abductees spoke in Hausa, contradicting claims that they had been freed following negotiations with their captors.

In the video, one of the terrorists questioned the victims about reports circulating that they had been released after a ransom involving N1 billion and 30 Honda motorcycles was allegedly paid.

The exchange began when one of the terrorists asked, “Where are you people now?”
