The government will soon take steps to ensure an adequate supply of groundnut seeds to farmers for the Kharif season, said Minister of Transport, Sports, and Youth Services Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy.Speaking to the media here on Friday (June 19, 2026), the Minister said that the State government was closely monitoring farmers’ requirements to initiate proactive measures to address emerging challenges promptly.Reiterating that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had accorded top priority to farmers’ welfare, the Minister directed officials to ensure that essential agricultural inputs reached the farmers in time. “As the Kharif season has already begun, we are treating the issue of groundnut seed availability with utmost seriousness,” he added.He noted that the government is proceeding with caution and with a planned strategy to fulfil the requirements of all farmers.
