MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expressed hope that the election of Senate President Win Gatchalian would finally end the legislative gridlock that has hindered the passage of priority measures.

Gatchalian was elected Senate president during the chamber’s special session on Wednesday.
