“Ship is ready to sail, explorers!” shouts gleefully little Tessa, leaping onto the ladder of her bunk bed, at the very beginning of Catalonia’s “The Triplets” reboot.

“I think you’ll enjoy the trip. Tessa is a very experienced sailor,” adds sister Annie, referring to her rubber duck. “Captain Nelly ready for landing,” adds Nelly, from the bottom bunk of their bed. “Are you joining us?”

Sneak-peaked by Variety, if its first scene is anything to go by, the awaited new version of quaint series “The Triplets” will retain the contagious zest for life and imagination of the most famous triplets in Spanish animation, 7-year-old Tessa, Nelly and Annie, heroes of the 1990s international sales phenomenon.

Also readying for a later 2026 release or after, “Tad and the Magic Lamp,” whose first three movies have clocked up a combined $118 million worldwide.

Other potential highlight takes in a bevy of animated feature spun-offs, such as “Jasmine & Jumbo: The Movie,” from the Catalan TV series whose Seasons 1 and 2 scored a slew of major territory sales, including France – in a significant deal with France Télévisions.
