Ahead the Saturday bye-election in Ondo South Senatorial District of Ondo State, the state governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa has called on the residents of the district to cast their votes for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Dayo Faduyile.

The Independent National Electoral Commission is conducting the bye-election to fill the vacancy created by the appointment of former senator, Jimoh Ibrahim, as Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

Aiyedatiwac, who spoke at the APC final campaign rally in Okitipupa on Thursday, appealed to residents to conduct themselves peacefully during the election and ensure their votes count.

Represented by his deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami, the governor described the Prof. Faduyile , who is a former President of the Nigeria Medical Association as the most qualified aspirant to represent the district in the senate.

The governor said, “Prof. Faduyile possesses the requisite experience, intellect and leadership qualities needed to effectively articulate the interests of Ondo South at the National Assembly.
