Manchester United will kick off their 2026-27 Premier League season away to newly-promoted Hull City in the early kick-off on Saturday, August 22.Michael Carrick will lead United into the new season, appointed on a permanent basis after taking the side back into the Champions League following a two-year hiatus.The former midfielder signed a two-year contract after replacing Ruben Amorim halfway through the year and sparking an impressive turnaround which saw him take United from sixth to a third-placed finish.United will now have to contend with a more congested calendar, having not participated in European competition last term.The first Manchester derby of the season will take place at Old Trafford on September 12, before the reverse fixture on March 20.
