Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has thwarted an alleged attempt to push four people into Bangladesh through the Meherpur border.
The move was made through Khalpara of Buripota border in Sadar Upazila, according to Lt Col Nazmul Hasan, commanding officer of BGB-6 Battalion.
Members of the force use megaphones to keep intruders away from the border
Groups spotted at zero line zones are later withdrawn after prolonged standoff situations
Border guards are holding their ground after the group is sent towards Bangladesh from India
33 people, whom the BSF allegedly tried to push-in, are currently inside the Indian territory
