Here are just a few:The live sitesGiven the early start, some of the public places to watch the Socceroos will take a break for this game, before returning for the team’s final group match against Paraguay at midday next Friday.The exception is AAMI Park: Gates open on Saturday at 4am – specifically Gate Two (via Eastern Concourse) and Gate Seven (via Western Concourse) – before kick-off an hour later.Marvel Stadium’s watch party takes place at the concourse bar Friends of Fire (between gates two and three), rather than in the stadium itself.There are also plenty of suburban football clubs streaming the match, with some putting on breakfasts as well – see the full list here.Heart of the cityIf you’re still keen on heading into the city centre for the atmosphere, there are plenty of pubs broadcasting the game live, among them Young and Jackson, The Oxford Scholar, Quarterhouse in Docklands, Hickens Hotel on Russell Street and The Imperial at the corner of Bourke and Spring streets.Bowling, buffet, ball gameThe clatter of balls hitting pins at The Keys in Preston will be replaced by the sizzle of bacon and the roar of a crowd through a big screen come Saturday morning.The 600-person venue is opening its Plenty Road doors and kitchen nice and early for fans, and straying out of its usual lane by putting on a buffet breakfast spread. It will either add to the festivities or allow you to eat your feelings depending on the outcome.Just up the road, The Sporting Globe in Northland shopping centre is streaming the game live, as are the franchise’s other locations in Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Doncaster, Werribee and Mordialloc.Punters Club Hotel, FitzroyNormally, a free live music venue, the owners have gone all in on sport this weekend, opening from Friday and not closing until Sunday.Nearby, the Royal Derby Hotel and the Terminus Hotel are also showing the game.Great Northern Hotel, CarltonThe pub that usually welcomes Blues fans will go green and gold on Saturday.Inner southSt Kilda has plenty of options for people wanting to watch the game in a crowd, with the usual suspects streaming the game, including The Espy, The Fifth Province, Harvey’s Sports Bar and St Kilda Sports Club.Port Melbourne’s Exchange Hotel, the Limerick Arms in South Melbourne and the Balaclava Hotel are also streaming the game.Inner eastThe Richmond Club Hotel on Swan Street, the Prince Alfred on Church Street and Richmond Republic on Bridge Road will be showing the game.The Vic Hotel, FootscrayThe inner west is also getting in on the action early Saturday morning, courtesy of the Vic and the Hobsons Bay Hotel in Williamstown.From our partners
