Emergency responders found the couple unconscious after being called to their residence shortly after 12.38am on Tuesday. They were pulled from the burning property by firefighters and given CPR, but died from their injuries shortly afterwards. Authorities have said that the cause of the fire, which was declared under control at 1.03 am, is currently under investigation. Beyond his 20-year acting career, Avery also worked as a journalist and editor in New Jersey, co-founding the Ridge View Echo, and served on the Blairstown township committee.
