PenCom to Enroll 9 Million NURTW Workers into Personal Pension Plan

The National Pension Commission (PenCom) has disclosed that it plans to enroll 9 million transport workers under the National Union of Road Transport Workers( NURTW) into the Personal Pension Plan (PPP) as part of moves to include the informal sector in the scheme.
The commission stated that it has already commenced discussions with NURTW on the innovative partnership under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS).
The proposed collaboration came to the fore during a visit by the National President of NURTW, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, to the Director General of PenCom, Ms. Omolola Oloworaran, at the PenCom’s headquarters in Abuja.
