EXCLUSIVE: Scarlett Moffatt has shared how much she 'loves' the unique name Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury chose for their second child21:20, 18 Jun 2026Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury raised eyebrows when they unveiled their baby name for their newborn son as Midas, with many questioning their choice.‌The couple, who also share daughter Bambi, revealed the moniker last weekend, with boxer Tommy’s shorts emblazoned with “Midas” as he stepped in the ring against Eddie Hall.‌However, after many questioned their decision, Scarlett Moffatt leapt to their defence, suggesting that the tot “needs a name like that” considering who his parents are.‌In a candid chat with the Mirror to celebrate her new Freely World Cup campaign, the Gogglebox star - who is pregnant with her second child - told us: “If I was having a little girl, I think the name would have been out there a bit more.‌“I love - I can never pronounce it - Molly-Mae's baby's name, Midas. I love that, I think it's so different.“Also when you've got that many followers, that kid is going to be in showbiz, let’s be honest. The name, it’s going to suit… The kid is going places with Tommy and Molly-Mae as their parents. They need a name like that!”Before giving birth, Molly-Mae had whipped fans into a frenzy when she teased the name the couple had chosen for their second child, suggesting that many would “pronounce it wrong”.‌“I just feel like people are going to say it wrong because when I mention the name to a few people or I've spelt it out because I have this big complex about people saying it wrong. Then a few of my friends have said it completely wrong - absolutely not how you pronounce it,” she said in a vlog.“I think people are going to be a bit disappointed, upon reflection I don't think it's that crazy.”‌Scarlett might be taking notes from the Love Island star as she is also set to welcome her second child with fiancé Scott Dobinson, having announced their baby news with an adorable video back in April.“We honestly can’t believe we’re writing this… After everything, we feel unbelievably lucky to be able to say… our family is growing,” she said at the time. “One little miracle gave us Jude, and now he’s going to be a big brother. And if there’s one thing we know for certain, it’s that he is going to be the most amazing big brother.“We are so grateful, so excited, and still a little bit in shock. Our hearts are fuller than we ever thought possible.”‌The couple are already parents to three-year-old son Jude, who they welcomed in June 2023 - but Scarlett insisted that his name was inspired by Jude Law, not England midfielder Jude Bellingham.‌Shedding light on the possible name of their little one, she added: “We've got three names picked, and one of them actually is a football name…"One of the names we had to cancel out because Jude couldn't pronounce it properly. I was like, ‘No, that'll get on my nerves, that's a sign.’ But we keep trying to use it in different situations to see which one feels natural.“I'm named after Scarlett O'Hara, and my middle name is my dad's favourite movie, Alien. So my middle name is Sigourney, after Sigourney Weaver. We did the same with Jude, so Jude is called Jude Xavier because I picked Jude from The Holiday and Scott picked Xavier from Professor X in some Marvel thing…Article continues below“Luckily I get to pick the first name and Scott picks the middle one, but I don't know, I quite like old classic names.”Like this story?
