Veritas Foundation organised the second edition of its higher education scholarship programme, Kanavu Meipada Vendum, on World Day Against Child Labour observed on June 12.The initiative is to support students from economically and socially disadvantaged families to pursue higher education. The initiative was launched in 2025, and 40 students from government schools in Perambalur and other districts were selected and provided higher education scholarships.This year, an additional 100 students from over 15 districts across Tamil Nadu have been selected to receive higher education scholarships and mentoring support to pursue three-year undergraduate degree programmes. The scholarship award ceremony was held at Jamal Mohamed College, Tiruchirappalli.T.S. Sridhar, IAS (Retd.), chairman of Veritas Foundation, K. Abdus Samad, assistant secretary of Jamal Mohamed College, T. Arulmani, founder and managing director of Veritas Finance Limited and managing trustee of Veritas Foundation, R.
