The Bruins acquired the No. 104 and No. 157 selections. Boston now has eight picks in the draft, which will be held next week.Gasseau, 22, was the Bruins’ seventh-round pick in 2021. The left-shot center played four seasons at Boston College, serving as captain in 2025-26. The 6-foot-4, 224-pounder scored six goals and 17 assists in his senior season. Gasseau spent part of his final season as James Hagens’ linemate. He declined to sign his entry-level contract with the Bruins.Gasseau could become an unrestricted free agent on Aug. 15. However, the native of Garden Grove, Calif., is likely to sign with the Sharks and contend for an NHL opening in training camp. There was no guarantee Gasseau would have made the Bruins to start the 2026-27 season.
