It’s the push to take care of my health and lose 30kgs in the last year that has been the most rewarding. I don’t think any other place can give you this kind of an opportunity @zerodhaonline,” Agarwala wrote. In a separate Instagram video, Agarwala explained that he lost 30 kg over the past year after taking part in a workplace fitness challenge. He said that around six months earlier, he had made a bet with 15 colleagues to reduce his weight from 95 kg to 75 kg by January. The group collectively wagered about ₹1 lakh against him as a way to motivate employees to prioritise their health.Agarwala admitted that he had struggled with weight loss for years and had found it difficult to regain fitness after putting on weight again. “Becoming fit felt like a dream,” he said.He credited Zerodha's workplace culture for helping him stay committed to the goal. “My company is very health-focused and it comes from the top. This was the change I needed in my life, which pushed me to take this seriously,” he said.Agarwala said he began his fitness journey at 104 kg in April. By the time the bet officially started in June, he had already reduced his weight to 95 kg. On January 8, he reached 74.5 kg, beating his target by half a kilogram.Kamath later reshared the accomplishment on X, saying he was pleased to have lost the bet.Social media reactionsKamath's post quickly gained traction on social media, with users praising both the fitness transformation and the company's approach to encouraging healthier lifestyles.Reacting to the post, one user wrote, “Lost the bet but won at life!
