Clarito Zapanta is directing “Love & Other Crimes,” a feature-length romantic crime thriller written by Brandon Newman and produced by Kristina Zapanta, with Justin P. Slaughter (“90 Feet from Home”), Jordan Nancarrow (“Surviving the Cartel”), Stephen Adekolu (“Superman & Lois”) and Sh’Neil Gaskin-Kerr leading the cast.

The film, currently in production, follows a charming drifter’s romance with a waitress which gets derailed when he’s pulled into the violent world of an old friend’s crime syndicate, where survival means embracing the darkness — or risking everything to escape.

Noah Thomas’ life takes a dangerous turn when a chance reunion with old high school friend Shaye Matthews entangles him in a ruthless crime ring. As he falls deeper into the syndicate’s violent world, Noah’s budding romance offers a fragile glimmer of hope.
