MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Russian President Vladimir Putin, and leaders of Southeast Asian nations on Thursday adopted the Kazan Declaration 2026 and three other key documents aimed at deepening cooperation between Asean and Russia in the coming years.

They made the move during the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean)-Russia Commemorative Summit in Kazan, Russia on Thursday.

The Kazan Declaration 2026, titled “Asean-Russian Federation: Unity in Diversity – 35 Years Together,” states that the participating nations share similar views on some international issues and outlines areas for future cooperation.
