PHILADELPHIA: Dr. Hisham Aljadhey, CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, participated in the Drug Information Association global annual meeting in Philadelphia this week.

Held from June 14-18, the event brought together heads of regulatory authorities, global decision-makers, and leading experts in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and regulatory sciences from across the world.

During a panel session, Dr. Aljadhey emphasized the critical importance of leveraging artificial intelligence in regulatory workflows.

He said that AI technologies could significantly enhance the evaluation of therapeutic innovations and accelerate patient access while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

In a roundtable meeting, Dr. Aljadhey engaged with executives from global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, alongside regulatory counterparts from the US, the UK, Singapore, Japan and Brazil.
