Andhra Pradesh State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has approved new proposals from 50 companies involving a total investment of ₹30,515 crore which are expected to generate 29,677 jobs across industries.Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who chaired the SIPB meeting in Amaravati on Thursday, said the gains from development in the State should translate into employment, entrepreneurship and economic opportunities for all sections of society. He called for stronger support for start-ups and effective utilisation of the State’s innovation ecosystem through the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub. He also directed officials to facilitate venture capital investments for start-ups and create a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem.Leading RoleNaidu instructed the education department to align academic curricula with emerging industry trends and future technologies, including robotics and advanced technology courses. He also emphasised that only serious investors should be encouraged and directed officials to closely monitor approved projects to ensure timely grounding and execution.Highlighting the importance of ethanol production, Chandrababu Naidu said Andhra Pradesh should take a leading role in the sector. Increased ethanol blending would benefit farmers and reduce the country’s dependence on imported fuels.
