MANILA, Philippines – Ayala Land formalized the donation of 63 hectares in Sicogon Island, Iloilo, fulfilling commitments to farmers and fisherfolk affected by the island’s tourism project.
In a statement, the property giant said its subsidiary, Sicogon Island Tourism Estate Corp. (SITEC) donated 63 hectares of residential and agricultural land to Federation of Sicogon Island Farmers and Fisherfolk Association (FESIFFA) members.
The donation forms part of the amended Compromise and Framework Agreement governing the development of Sicogon Island in Carles, Iloilo.
ALI said the donated land will provide beneficiaries with housing and long-term livelihood opportunities on the island.
