France’s internal intelligence agency, the DGSI, is to break with US tech firm Palantir in favour of French company ChapsVision, the government said, amid a renewed European push for greater tech sovereignty.
French prime minister Sebastien Lecornu announced the move on Tuesday, framing the move as a matter of “autonomy”.
“We must build our own strategic autonomy,” he said.
“In the same way that we would not transfer the national archives to California, we need to develop our own AI tools.”
