Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized four Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles and 212 drones launched by Russian forces in an overnight attack that began in the evening of June 17.

According to Ukrinform, the information was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.

Starting at 18:00 on June 17, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with seven Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles launched from Russia's Voronezh, Bryansk, and Kursk regions, as well as 239 aerial targets, including Shahed attack drones (among them jet-powered variants), Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya decoy drones.

The drones were launched from the directions of Kursk, Oryol, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, as well as from Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea and temporarily occupied Donetsk.

The air assault was repelled by Ukrainian aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW) units, unmanned systems forces, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.
