Players for the Saint Mary’s Sports Club (SMSC) will be announced this Saturday. Netball Samoa also announced the participation of a team from New Zealand and one from Fiji.
This is the sixth year of the competition and the second year since they invited overseas teams.
The tournament will also have four coaching ambassadors as well. These coaching ambassadors are former netball elites themselves. They are Linda Vagana, Pelesa Semu, Fa’amu Muliaga and Sulu Fitzpatrick.
Saint Mary’s Sports Club president, Visceta Meredith, stated that the tournament selects the best players from the various netball clubs in the association and has them compete against each other.
“We say if you want to be the best, you play against the best,” said Meredith.
