The Ukrainian government has approved the 2027–2029 Budget Declaration, which, among other provisions, envisages a gradual increase in social standards.
According to Ukrinform, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced the decision on Telegram.
“The minimum wage in 2027 will increase at a pace exceeding the inflation rate. The subsistence minimum will rise by the inflation rate plus two percentage points throughout the entire three-year period (2027–2029),” Svyrydenko said.
According to the Prime Minister, support for veterans and people affected by armed aggression will continue, while conditions will be created to encourage the return of displaced migrants and help restore the country’s human capital.
“The Budget Declaration has been coordinated with international partners and aligns with Ukraine’s commitments under external financial assistance programs. It is based on a baseline scenario that assumes an improvement in the security situation from 2027 onward. At the same time, it includes a resilience scenario in case the active phase of hostilities lasts longer,” Svyrydenko emphasized.
