Superior Court Justice Shaun Nakatsuru told Colin Hatcher Wednesday that fatally stabbing his artist mother in an Etobicoke park was “extremely aggravating” with profound consequences for the people who loved the “exceptional,” kind, generous and creative soul.
On Feb. 21, 2021, just before 11 a.m., Hatcher repeatedly slashed Katharine Boyle Hatcher, 69, with a sharp instrument in a wooded area of the King’s Mill Park, near Old Mill TTC station. Lying in a pool of blood, she called 911 for help but succumbed to her injuries before that help arrived.
