As Mr Trump arrived at the G7 summit this morning he declared that he was “the boss” – while the rest of the world leaders tried to persuade him into stronger support for Ukraine. He also patted Sir Keir Starmer on the back. Perhaps out of sympathy.
The Prime Minister has some rather pressing domestic issues on his mind, not least the outcome of tomorrow’s by-election in Makerfield and the prospect of a challenge to his own leadership.
