LA Knight engaged in a alleged heated argument with WWE management over booking setback (Image via WWE)WWE star LA Knight has reportedly become a subject of fresh speculation after he allegedly engaged in a heated argument with the company management recently. According to former WWE announcer and executive Jonathan Coachman, Knight's recent booking in the King of the Ring tournament could be a sign of something behind the heated exchange in the WWE office. This came into light during an appearance on Two Count Tuesday, where Jonathan Coachman suggested that the WWE officials are reluctant to elevate Knight beyond his current position despite his popularity. It happened as WWE already knows that Knight is too popular to just pull from television; however, he believes the company also does not want him getting any bigger than he already is, which resulted in the win of Jey Uso, followed by the possible clash.LA Knight reportedly has heat with management after a recent booking setback on SmackDown WWE star LA Knight has allegedly been involved in a heat with the management after a recent booking setback. The incident occurred after the Knight took the pin in the King of the Ring fatal four-way on SmackDown, and fans were already furious that Jey Uso moved on instead. Actually, during the June 12 edition of SmackDown, Jey Uso defeated LA Knight, Finn Balor, and Royce Keys in a chaotic Fatal Four-Way first-round match. The bout spilled all over the arena, which led to Uso finally scoring the win with a splash. This did not settle well with fans, and they were upset with Jey Uso advancing in the King of the Ring tournament. However, Jonathan Coachman is saying there may be a bigger reason behind it than just tournament booking. While speaking on Two Count Tuesday, Coachman claimed that WWE does not want Knight to elevate beyond his current position despite his popularity, and believes the company also does not want him getting any bigger than he already is.“He’s got heat with the office, as we like to say, and they know they need to use him. They need him on the mic, but they don’t want to have him get over. And this is the result of that, which is absolutely been..,” Coachman added. He also noted that the Knight remains a valuable performer because of his promo ability and strong crowd reactions, but he alleged that management does not want him to become an even bigger star. Coachman also pointed to Knight's age, he would have been very angry, noting that the 44-year-old may not have many years left to wait for a major main-event push. “If I were LA Knight, I would be beyond pissed because he’s also 44 years old now, and he doesn’t have five or ten years to get back in the good graces. His time’s over. And you’re right, he’s got to walk because he can make a lot of money in the next two to three years,” Coachman added. As of now, neither WWE nor Knight has publicly addressed Coachman's allegations. Despite the situation, LA Knight is still getting TV time, still getting reactions, and still has a pool of fans behind him, supporting and cheering for him.
