This did not settle well with fans, and they were upset with Jey Uso advancing in the King of the Ring tournament. However, Jonathan Coachman is saying there may be a bigger reason behind it than just tournament booking. While speaking on Two Count Tuesday, Coachman claimed that WWE does not want Knight to elevate beyond his current position despite his popularity, and believes the company also does not want him getting any bigger than he already is.“He’s got heat with the office, as we like to say, and they know they need to use him. They need him on the mic, but they don’t want to have him get over. Coachman also pointed to Knight's age, he would have been very angry, noting that the 44-year-old may not have many years left to wait for a major main-event push. “If I were LA Knight, I would be beyond pissed because he’s also 44 years old now, and he doesn’t have five or ten years to get back in the good graces. His time’s over.
