The Federal Government on Wednesday said Nigeria’s future economic growth, competitiveness and public service delivery will be driven largely by the country’s ability to harness digital technology.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, stated this while declaring open the Digital Transformation Summit 2026 in Abuja.
Akume, who also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Galaxy Backbone Limited, described digital innovation as a key enabler of national development and called for greater collaboration among federal, state and local governments to advance Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda.
“The future of governance will be digital. The future of economic competitiveness will be digital. The future of public service delivery will be digital,” Akume said.
