New Delhi, Domestic telecom company HFCL has bagged an order worth Rs 2,666 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd to supply equipment for the BharatNet Phase-3 project.The fresh contract is in addition to the earlier contract of Rs 2,167.65 crore awarded to the company by RVNL for BharatNet Phase-3 projects in the Uttar Pradesh (East) and Uttar Pradesh (West) telecom circles in January, the company said in a regulatory filing."The Company has been awarded a Contract amounting to around Rs 2,666.09 crore by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). This contract pertains to the BharatNet Phase-3 project in the Uttar Pradesh (West) telecom circle," HFCL said in the filing.Under the contract, HFCL will supply telecom equipment and related accessories, including installation and commissioning, create an optical fibre cable telecom network, and carry out the maintenance of the project.The project duration is divided into two years of maintenance, 10 years of operation and maintenance, and one year of warranty.The total contract price of Rs 2,666.09 crore comprises capital expenses amounting to Rs 1,192.82 crore and operational expenses of Rs 1,473.27 crore.

HFCL has secured a significant Rs 2,666 crore order from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited. This contract is for the BharatNet Phase-3 project in Uttar Pradesh West. HFCL will supply telecom equipment and manage installation and commissioning. The project includes network creation and maintenance over a considerable period. This order adds to previous contracts for the same project.
