June 17 (UPI) -- Javier Bardem was honored Tuesday at his TCL Chinese Theatre hand and footprint ceremony.

The Spanish actor, 57, known for his work in No Country for Old Men, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Dune and the new Cape Fear series, was immortalized in the forecourt of the Hollywood landmark for his contributions to film.

Jerry Bruckheimer, who directed Bardem in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and F1, Michael Mann, who worked with Bardem on Collateral, and Denis Villeneuve, who directed Bardem in the Dune movies, were on hand to celebrate the actor.

Bardem played Stilgar, a Fremen leader, in Dune and Dune: Part Two, and will reprise the role in Dune: Part Three. The third and final entry in Villeneuve's trilogy based on the Frank Herbert book series opens in theaters Dec. 18.
