A video of a man who left a job in Amazon to become a full-time Uber driver has gone viral on Instagram. An Instagram influencer named Chetna Singh shared how her Uber driver left a coveted job to follow his “passion” - driving. “In a country where most people leave their passions behind because of responsibilities and societal pressure, meeting someone who actually chose what makes him happy felt inspiring,” Chetna wrote on Instagram.The clip begins with an on-screen caption informing viewers that the driver had previously been employed at Amazon before moving on to work with ride-hailing platforms such as Uber and Rapido. As the footage progresses, Singh is seen traveling in the vehicle and introducing the man accompanying her. She explains that Kumar had once held a position at Amazon but later chose to pursue a career behind the wheel, driven by his strong interest in driving. During the interaction, she also highlights his impressive reputation on the platform, mentioning that he is the second most highest rated drivers associated with Uber.When given an opportunity to share his story, Kumar spoke about his strong enthusiasm for driving, noting that the profession allows him to meet and engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds and various parts of the world. He explained that spending his days on the road also enables him to discover different parts of Hyderabad and gain a deeper familiarity with the city. Impressed by his excitement and dedication toward his work, Singh observed that it is uncommon to come across people in India who actively choose a career path based purely on what they genuinely enjoy doing.Kumar revealed he left tech job in 2014 to follow his passion- driving. Till date, he has completed nearly 23,600 trips.
