The Jharkhand unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday (June 17, 2026) questioned the State’s law and order situation after two unidentified persons allegedly hurled petrol bombs at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office in Ranchi’s Niwaranpur area in the early hours of Wednesday (June 17, 2026). BJP leaders described the incident as tragic and unfortunate.
BJP leader and Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth described the incident as an attack on a mother. Several leaders, including Jharkhand BJP president Aditya Sahu and Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi, visited the Sangh office to take stock of the situation.
Mr. Seth said the incident was not a minor one and that it was important to uncover the entire conspiracy behind it. “Police must find out the motive and intention behind the attack on the RSS office. This is not an ordinary incident, it is an attack on our mother. In the CCTV footage it is clearly visible that twice they came with petrol bombs to attack it.”
