President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Associate Professor Smart Olugbeko as the substantive Provost of the Federal College of Education, Ilawe-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The appointment was announced by the Governing Council of the institution at its 8th Regular Meeting held on June 10, 2026.
In a statement made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday, the Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council, Dr Khadijah Garba, described Olugbeko as a seasoned academic and administrator with more than two decades of experience in teaching, research and educational leadership.
Garba stated that the appointment is for a single term of five years and takes effect from the date of assumption of office.
