The Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs announced on Tuesday that an in-person signing ceremony for an interim agreement between Iran and the United States, aimed at ending the war in the Middle East, is scheduled for Friday, June 19, at the Bürgenstock mountain resort in central Switzerland.

In a statement, the ministry said it has been in close contact with the United States, Iran, Pakistan, and Qatar regarding the "Memorandum of Understanding" between Tehran and Washington.

According to the statement, the venue for the ceremony is the Bürgenstock resort in the canton of Nidwalden, which was proposed as the host location by Pakistani and Qatari mediators, as well as by Iran and the United States.

Bürgenstock is a well-known venue for hosting international summits and diplomatic negotiations in Switzerland, having previously hosted several major political events.

On June 14, Iran and the United States electronically signed the Memorandum of Understanding regarding the end of the war. The document was drafted as a general framework agreement. According to the announced schedule, it is set to be signed in person on June 19 in the presence of senior officials from both countries.
