Updated June 17, 2026 — 5:35pm,first published 5:18pmTwo children have died after a car crashed into their pram in Sydney’s south-west.Emergency services were called to the intersection of Gilbert and Joseph streets in Cabramatta just after 3pm on Wednesday following reports of the crash.Aerial footage of emergency vehicles at the scene in Cabramatta after the crash. Nine News Paramedics treated the two children aged one and five at the scene before they were taken to hospital in a critical condition. Both have since died and are yet to be formally identified.A 33-year-old woman known to the children was treated for minor injuries at the scene.The driver, a 56-year-old man, was uninjured. He was arrested and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.Footage obtained by Nine News shows a car on its side.
