A mobile infrastructure giant has been refused permission to build a 20 metre (66ft) 5G mast in the town centre of Keighley, in West Yorkshire.
Mobile Broadband Network Ltd, the mobile infrastructure company jointly owned by BT subsidiary EE and VodafoneThree’s Three, is looking to replace a phone array currently located on the top of Devonshire House in Keighley town centre, while planned works are carried out on the office building.
It had submitted an application to install the 20m monopole mast along with two dishes, 12 antenna apertures, and five street cabinets at a site on Lord Street, at the edge of the former Keighley College site.
