Armed Turkish F-16 fighter jets violated Greek airspace six times over the Aegean Sea, authorities reported on Tuesday.

Two pairs of Turkish F-16s – two of them armed – committed the violations across the southeastern and central Aegean.

Separately, one F-16 pair and a Turkish drone carried out four additional violations of the Athens Flight Information Region.

The incidents come amid a recent intensification of Turkish aircraft activity in the Aegean, with airspace violations becoming increasingly frequent.
