The late former Ukhozi FM station manager and chairperson of the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) Advisory Board, Welcome "Bhodloza" Nzimande, and his widow, Zandile Nzimande, popularly known as MaPhakathi. MaPhakathi is embroiled in a bitter dispute with the deceased's surviving children over the administration and distribution of his estate.

Five years after the death of former Ukhozi FM station manager and renowned maskandi music advocate Welcome Mjikijeli "Bhodloza" Nzimande, a dispute over the distribution of his estate has triggered a bitter family feud between his widow and his surviving children.

Nzimande, who played a pivotal role in popularising and professionalising maskandi music, died on January 15, 2021, at the age of 73 after contracting Covid-19. He was also the chairperson of the Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) advisory board.

The Sunday Tribune understands that the prolonged delay in finalising the estate stems from an ongoing dispute between Nzimande's widow, Zandile Nzimande, popularly known by her feminine maiden name, MaPhakathi, and several of the late broadcaster's children.

Nzimande's son, Thelumusa Nzimande, confirmed that relations between the children and their stepmother had deteriorated, although he expressed disappointment that the matter had become public.
