In our Pension Diaries series, we speak to people of all ages in the UK to find out how much or how little they have saved for retirement and the realities of putting money aside for your future.

This week, we speak to Andrew Cook, 68, who is widowed and lives in Bedford. He retired at 66 and is still trying to get the Greek state pension he is entitled to after living and working in Athens for around 27 years.

Andrew, who is a father of two, says for him life is about simple pleasures which do not cost a lot. But he says his inheritance from his mother was a major factor in helping him and without that, life would be a lot more difficult.
