So the team behind The Traitors is taking a multimillion-pound gamble transforming the hit format into a West End show, theatre insiders warned.
With last week’s BBC One final watched by 10 million viewers, a record for a “civilian” series of the murder mystery game, the Traitors’ producers are seeking new avenues to capitalise on a hit that already spawned a board game, card game, a live “immersive experience” in London and a lucrative merchandise business.
