Jelly shoes of every style, color, and finish are (still) having a moment, and Birkenstock’s Arizona sandals are a reliable and enduring summer staple. So naturally, this pair of jelly slides from Cushionaire caught my eye while browsing today’s early Prime Day deals. I’ve never tried anything from the brand, but I do know it’s been turning out highly rated versions of classic Birk styles for years, so I have plenty of faith in their quality, especially for the price. And as a former shoe designer, I suspect these are yet another quality pair: There’s nothing flimsy about the visibly thick upper, cushioned insole and hefty-looking outsole, and the plastic material means the whole thing is likely just one molded unit, so there’s no risk of the straps separating from the sole. And construction aside, the waterproof plastic makes them an especially great poolside (or beachside) shoe that you can easily slip on and off and wipe clean.
