Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the possibility of the United Kingdom helping restore the historic Kyiv Pechersk Lavra during a meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
This is according to a statement posted by Zelensky on Facebook and reported by Ukrinform.
“I informed Keir about the consequences of the recent Russian strikes. We discussed the possible participation of the United Kingdom in the restoration of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, the implementation of the agreements reached during today’s G7–Ukraine meeting, potential areas for further pressure on Russia, and steps to strengthen Ukraine’s air defense,” Zelensky said.
The President noted that the United Kingdom had adopted new measures to support Ukraine, including additional sanctions targeting Russia’s shadow fleet.
“Thank you! All of this works towards peace,” Zelensky stated.
