The TOWIE star, 39, famed for his feuds with legendary co-star Gemma Collins on the hit reality show, took to social media on Tuesday morning to clear up the confusion.‌It all began when Bobby realised the death of someone called Bobby Norris had been announced and as it spread online, fans began to assume that it was him who had died.‌He said: "So potentially the most random video I've ever done but I wanted to put this out. I've seen quite a few messages over the last couple of days but I think I've got to the bottom of it. So, basically, there's been an influx messages because there has been an announcement of my passing online over the last couple of days.‌At first, I just thought the internet was internetting and I weren't sure if it was just the good old trolls under the bridge doing what they do. I didn't really respond to it but then more and more come in, and for a split second, I just thought 'Well, it can't be me because I'm eating an omelette. I'm still kicking, do you know what I mean?"After going through a "mad couple of days," the TV star came to the conclusion that it must have been someone who had the same name as him but still thanked fans for the outpouring of affection that he had received as he sent his condolences to the family of the other Bobby Norris.‌He added: "Anyway, I've got to the bottom of it. I think that it is obviously a different Bobby Norris who has sadly passed. It's not me. So thank you for all your well wishes and reaching out, it's very kind."But also, condolences to the other Bobby Norris and his friends and family. It's not really a common name, do you know what I mean? It's been a mad couple of days in The Twilight Zone where I was sat with my omelette thinking 'Is this me?' But it's not. So...thank you guys."‌Fans were quick to react to the news that Bobby was still alive, with one writing in the comments section of his post: "That's a frightening thing. I've not seen that."So sorry as you say for the other Bobby Norris and his family and friends. Glad you're alive and kicking hun and enjoying your omelette. Much love."Another said: "A happy and sad moment condolences to the family of the deceased Happy to see you in good spirits on this side rather than the other have a lovely day."‌A third raged: "Omg this is sick it’s absolutely shocking how people are allowed to get away with posting such nonsense that could have easily given one of your family members a heart attack with the shock thinking that you had passed away jyst vile so sorry bobs."It comes just months after Bobby revealed that he was recently faced with a health issue that doctors told him could actually have spelled the end for him. As medics tried to establish what was wrong, it looked as if it could be something serious.Opening up on ITV's This Morning as he discussed why he had his latest round of plastic surgery, which included a facelift, Bobby said: "I'd had health problems last year. Another story for another time.‌"But the doctor was quite honest. I mean, I was having so many tests done. I mean, there's more of my blood in fridges around Essex than Mounjaro, and that's saying something."And the lovely doctor said at one point, 'We've got a specialist here. And if it's something he thinks it is, you could be dead in 12 hours.' "And in your head, you think and this sounds really crazy to say, but I thought, 'Well, I can't die. I'm going to Sheesh tonight.'"Because at my age, you don't expect to hear that. And then I kind of thought, 'Well, we all have these age things in our heads.' I thought, 'Well, why am I waiting for my 40s to correct something?'"Article continues belowPresenter Ben Shephard interrupted to ask: "I'm really confused, so you had a condition whereby the doctor had said..." Bobby explained: "Well, there was process of elimination working out, my heart's been photographed more than Kim Kardashian, do you know what I mean?" ."Trying to work it out. And some of the tests had come back, and they were like, 'There's a chance it could be this.' And when you lay there and you think that and I knew I'd always do my face in my 40s ... and I thought, 'Well, I'm waiting for my 40s for that but tomorrow isn't guaranteed'* Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram ,Twitter ,Facebook , YouTube and Threads .
