Kerala Waqf Board chairperson K.S. Hamsa on Tuesday asserted that the disputed holding at Munambam was Waqf property.Mr. Hamsa said that Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan’s view that the holding was not a Waqf was his personal opinion. Mr. Satheesan’s earlier statement that he would resolve the issue within 10 minutes if voted to power should not be interpreted literally, he told reporters.Mr. Hamsa said the Board had furnished its reply to the Ministry of Minority Affairs regarding the uploading of details of the Munambam holding on the Ministry’s portal.
