June 16 (UPI) -- A ballet performance of Romeo and Juliet in Turkey went off-script when an orange cat wandered onto stage and interacted with the performance.
Video from the performance by the Imperial Russian Ballet Company in Izmir shows the cat wandering onto the stage during the climactic scene directly following Romeo's death.
The video, posted to Instagram by Tanya Borger, a member of the ballet company, shows the cat lie down next to the still actor before getting up to sniff at his head and play with his hair.
The feline performer seems to lose interest in Romeo when the dancer portraying Juliet pulls the other actor a few inches away on the ground.
The cat then makes its way to a nearby on-stage table to lie down and watch the rest of the scene.
