U.S. Vice President JD Vance announced that Donald Trump may release the text of the memorandum of understanding between Washington and the Islamic Republic ahead of the in-person signing ceremony scheduled for Friday.

Speaking to Fox News, Vance said the agreement has already been electronically signed by leaders from both sides, and preparations are now underway for the formal signing ceremony.

He also dismissed reports about the release of $24 billion or $25 billion to the Islamic Republic, saying, “This figure is entirely inaccurate and fabricated.” Vance added that a significant amount of misinformation about the terms of the deal is currently circulating in the media.

The U.S. Vice President emphasized that the memorandum guarantees the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, noting that its impact is already visible in global energy markets through declining oil prices.

Vance further said the agreement commits the Islamic Republic to never acquiring a nuclear weapon. He added that Tehran must eliminate its stockpiles of enriched uranium and would be barred from receiving any benefits under the agreement if it refuses to halt enrichment.
