June 16 (UPI) -- Serena Williams will reunite with sister Venus in doubles for her Wimbledon return this summer in London, tournament organizers announced Tuesday.

Wimbledon 2026 will be held from June 29 to July 12 at the All England Lawn Tennis Club. Serena, 44, appeared in her first professional tennis match since 2022 last week when she teamed up with Victoria Mboko in doubles at the HSBC Championships.

Williams and Mboko won their first match against Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Erin Routliffe in straight sets. Williams' initial return run was cut short when Mboko sustained a knee injury, triggering a doubles withdrawal.

The Williams sisters teamed up for six previous doubles crowns at Wimbledon, with their most recent title in 2016. They own a perfect 14-0 record in Grand Slam doubles finals.
