His loved ones - including his wife Jessica and their three children - were plunged into heartbreak following their loss.‌In a sweet new post on social media, the Channel 4 star shared a glimpse of their sun-drenched getaway with fans, while keeping her beloved friend in her thoughts. In one snap, the group were seen posing in front of a pool, while a video showed them taking it in turns to jump into the water.‌Alongside the Instagram post, she wrote: “Oh Jonnie, you would have loved this weekend. My heart is so full after spending time with Jess and the boys. You’d be so proud of them,” she captioned the upload.“Watching our families spend time together, sharing laughs, stories and creating new memories, felt so incredibly special. You are always missed, but seeing your boys grow into such wonderful young people is a beautiful reminder that a part of you is still with us every day.‌“And dear Jess, I am always in awe of you. Such an amazing woman and wonderful wife and mum @jessofjesmond.”Fans couldn’t get enough of the upload and quickly flooded the comments with praise. One penned: “Oh Jasmine, this is so heartwarming! I know how close you were.”Jonnie - who married Jessica in 2016 - died in 2024 after a gruelling illness. He was initially diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020 and later explained that it had spread to his brain.‌“Within a week of flying back from filming, I was being given six months to live,” he told the Sun of his condition. “I had to go home and tell my wife, who was looking after our babies, that she was on her own, pretty much.“That was devastating. All I could do was apologise to her. I felt so responsible.”Jessica - who welcomed sons Rafa, Rex and Cormac with Jonnie - confirmed the sad news of his death on Instagram at the time.‌"It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Jonnie’s passing.
